Played from a third-person perspective, the beloved stray cat game is taking place in every gamer’s heart right now. After all, we all are tired of playing with guns and violence or battlefield games. Stray comes out with a fresh narrative, a unique set of worlds, and ofcourse. A cute protagonist, a cat. Stray game is currently available on Pc, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game was released on 19th July 2022 with an adventurous single-player mode.

If we talk about the world set, the stray video game’s world environment is kinda cyberpunk. It is well beautified with colorful structures and buildings and of course robots, you can interact and chat with. The game has two sections. One is much more linear gameplay. While playing as the cat some sections are predetermined and you lose control of doing things in a certain way like usually we do in open worlds. The linear set world is clicking and go type. Where the actions are pre-animated and you just go along with the narrative. On the other hand, the semi-open world section is much more fun. The fun part is watching the cat being an actual cat and how it interacts with the open world environment if given independence. There are not many animal protagonist-centered video games released before so it’s obvious the animation stiffness is a problem here considering it’s a newly developed idea. Sometimes the way the cat moves or jumps around, the animation of its movement is kinda unrealistic. The stiffness is seen and the movements of the cat aren't as fluid as they should be considering it’s a game for high-quality pc and PlayStation consoles. Also, the linear section of the gameplay can be annoying at times since you can’t jump around whenever you want. Instead, it’s predetermined where and on what object you can jump or not Which can be a mood killer for many gamers. Even though the game is semi-linear, it’s quite fun to go through the fun missions and play through a new environment and beautifully designed graphics. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna be a cat for five hours of gameplay and enjoy the cat stealthily moving around, getting chased, or solving puzzles?
The new game has successfully managed to keep itself apart from other monotonous repetitive video games lately. It doesn’t have complex mechanisms; you don’t have to be waiting to level up to reach certain objectives nor does it have terrifying micro transactions.
